Using repurposed furniture in your kitchen is unexpected, and can add instant character to the room. I’ve collected five ideas for different repurposing projects you can use for inspiration in your own kitchen.
1) Kitchen Island – There are so many ways you can repurpose an old kitchen island. First of all, you can obviously paint it any style you would like — but think outside the box. You can completely replace your kitchen island with something meant for something else entirely:
2) Kitchen Armoire – I would have never thought to put an armoire in my kitchen, but I absolutely love the look. You can use the extra space as a place to store extra dishes, utensils, linen, etc.
The owners of this kitchen used old apple crates to create a makeshift shelving space to store their herbs, canned goods, etc.
This is an idea from Buckets of Burlap. Use an old ladder in your kitchen to hold dish towels.
